The more languid percussive groove and rolling beat of “Beams Aglow” paves the way for a melodic bassline phrase to play its part before textured pads add depth. Reaching a crescendo at the mid-point breakdown with white-noise powered effects and risers, the driving rhythm hits its stride in the third movement to impressive effect. Building in intelligent fashion with ticking shakers and filtered arpeggio, a rich chord progression provides emotion and dynamism. With a high-energy opening of running, grooved bassline and hypnotic driving beat, “Minesweeper” is a full-on aural assault of the highest order. Finding his music supported by the likes of Nick Warren, Marcelo Vasami and Cid Inc., the Colombo resident now opens his Proton Music account with two high-calibre originals.
